What it does

The root cause of many of the problems memphis is facing in child care, youth violence, education, spousal abuse, and crime can be traced to the breakdown of families. Accordingly, the families matter, inc. Mission is to increase the number of healthy, loving, caring families through a community-wide effort.

Afirm is a part of a study funded by the tennessee department of human services which is being conducted to determine how these pilot programs help people improve their economic well-being. Afirm invests in memphis' fathers by building capacity to reduce dependency. It establishes a pathway to the goal of equipping fathers to provide emotionally and financially for their children.a father's involvement really matters (afirm)
Principles of manhood curriculum is so requested that it is challenging our ability to fill all requests. The effectiveness of this program is now garnered to support students with elementary, middle and high school students teaching the basic rules of healthy social engagement increasing the emotional intelligence of the learner.
Families matter's reach within the church community increases as we build relationships with several organizations who are pastor led. As memphis' communities struggle with crime and other social ills, we offer solutions assisting clergy in training staff while supporting their family ministries.
