Playcv's mission to create opportunities that foster academic and personal growth through diverse enrichment activities and joyful play for all students.
At playcv, we focus on creating opportunities outside of school that inspire, connect, and empower the youth of castro valley to thrive. Playcv offers two types of enrichment opportunities to elementary and middle school children during the regular school year, each designed to meet different needs and interests. The full play provides consistent, daily afterschool support with a focus on fostering academic success and personal growth. Enrichment classes, offered a la carte, help students explore passions and develop new skills, guided by expert instructors from the local community.
During the summer, playcv offers full and half-day summer camps that are one-week long, over 6 weeks, providing engaging and enriching activities such as hands-on stem projects, creative arts like painting and theater, team sports, and cultural explorations like spanish art and robotics.
Playcv offers our students the opportunity to shine on stage! One cast from each school performs a musical on the big stage at the castro valley center for the arts. Under the guidance of our passionate and experienced directors, students will not only build confidence and self-expression but also foster a strong sense of teamwork and collaboration. Whether our students are a seasoned performer or a newcomer to the spotlight, playcv productions is the perfect platform to unleash their talent and discover the magic of theater. Play cv also started chess tournaments.
