What it does

Fair Shot Texas conducts and distributes research, studies, and analyses relating to labor economics and the environment. Working with labor unions and other groups, we lead on solving the climate crisis and creating jobs that benefit workers and their communities.

Workforce Development - Fair Shot Texas educated community members about apprenticeship readiness for jobs being created in the clean energy and climate economy, and provided support to place these individuals in Texas registered apprenticeship programs.
Clean Energy Industry Research - Through our research program, we engaged stakeholders and analyzed industry trends to publish a report with a third-party academic partner on workforce trends in the Texas clean energy economy, utility and job-creating benefits of decarbonizing buildings, and educated key stakeholders about our findings
IRA Implementation - Fair Shot Texas educated key stakeholders including industry, labor organizations, and policymakers on the job-creating potential of clean energy investments stemming from the Inflation Reduction Act and Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.
