The museum of art and light, inc. Is the first art museum in the united states to present multi-sensory immersive exhibition experiences on a rotating basis together with displays of physical fine art objects in an array of media. With public support from the state of kansas; the city of manhattan; and individual donors, businesses, organizations, and community leaders, the museum of art and light, inc. Features 100,000 square feet of new-and renovated-buildings.
The museum operatied a gift shop and cafe to suppport and enhance the visitor experience and further the organization's educational and cultural mission. Proceeds from these activities supported museum exhibitions, educational programs, and public outreach.
The museum hosted special events and community programs to promote public engagement, education, and cultural awareness. Events supported the organization's exempt mission by increasing community participation and generating support for museum exhibitions and educational activities.
