The mission of homeless intervention services of orange county is to provide support and assistance to the underprivileged and unhoused to improve their quality of life and to help them regain stability and hope.
Homeless intervention services of orange county (his-oc) provides housing and supportive services to families, transitional-aged youth, and seniors experiencing homelessness. Through our emergency shelter (family carecenter), we provide safe housing, meals, and case management for families serving over 250 individuals annually, 85% of whom are children. Our transitional housing program offers up to 12 months of stability with counseling, workforce training, and financial literacy support, helping participants secure permanent housing and independence. His-oc's street outreach and navigation services connect more than 1,000 unsheltered individuals each year to vital resources, including medi-cal calaim community supports and housing placements. Together, these programs empower vulnerable populations to rebuild their lives through housing, healing, and hope.
Charity's closet, a thrift store, supports the organization. It provided roughly 6.6% of the organization's total revenues during the year ended december 31, 2025.
