Two Feathers mission is to inspire healthy and balanced Native American communities in Humboldt County. To achieve our goal, we work with Native American children and families in a good way, which includes using culturally based interventions that promote holistic health and developing respectful collaborations with both Native and Non-Native agencies.
Two Feathers provides an array of culturally-focused prevention and early intervention mental health and wellness programming, to include: Individual and Family Counseling, Crisis Counseling, Wraparound-Informed Case Management, Substance Abuse Counseling, Domestic Violence Advocacy and Emergency Support, Parenting Groups, Recovery Groups, Training for Educators and Providers, as well as numerous Cultural Activities, Community Events and Youth Advocacy at local, state and national levels. During the fiscal year, Two Feathers provided intensive therapeutic services to 196 youth and their families, and engaged over 281 youth and adults in prevention programming. Two Feathers prioritizes Native American youth and families who experience systems involvement, suicidality, sexual assault and community violence. Youth typically remain engaged in therapeutic services for 6-18 months.
