What it does
Ashe food pantry, inc.is leading the fight to eliminate hunger in our community by acquiring and distributing food to those who seek aid. We operate seven pantries aimed at reaching all the various sectors of the food-insecure population.
Operated ashe food pantry to provide a five-day supply of emergency food assistance to people in need. Distributed 433,438 pounds of purchased and donated food to 6,441 families or 20,013 individuals.
Operation backpack provided approximately 12,000 weekend food backpacks to students at ashe middle school, ashe early learning center, mountain view elementary and westwood elementary. Operation backpack also distributed 226,277 pounds of purchased and donated food home-delivered to 60 families.
Mountaineer mobile pantry made monthly deliveries to creston, lansing, and warrensville reaching 4,881 families or 17,351 individuals. Distributed 375,088 pounds of purchased and donated food.
