What it does

To champion the life and enduring legacy of Dwight D. Eisenhower to inspire leadership, character and service.

The Eisenhower Foundation's I Like Ike Capital Campaign gained significant momentum in 2025 as plans advanced for the construction of the new Education Center. During the year, the Foundation selected McCownGordon as the construction firm and Newmark Zimmer as the owner's representative to guide the project. Through generous donor support and major campaign gifts, the Foundation successfully achieved its milestone of securing 80% of the $17 million campaign goal, allowing the project to advance into the Construction Documents Phase. These accomplishments position the Foundation to move forward with groundbreaking for the Education Center in Spring 2026.
IKEducation activities transform primary sources from the Eisenhower presidential library and museum into innovative, participatory experiences for K-12 students. These informative and entertaining programs provide students with a greater understanding of Eisenhower's military and presidential career and ways in which his legacy relates to students today. The Foundation facilitates onsite programs for school groups and offers a website that provides teachers engaging lesson plans, online resources, primary sources and interactive student activities. During the 2024-2025 academic year, 26,272 students/participants and 2,047 teachers/adults participated in 1,495 IKEducation programs onsite, IKE Online (virtual) and IKE Outreach (visits to schools).
The Foundation provides support for the Presidential Library, primarily in the form of financial assistance for the purchase of services and supplies for library programming.
