What it does

The boys & girls clubs of greater cincinnatis mission is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.

Fit for Life programming is conducted daily at all Clubs. Every member is expected to get at least 45 minutes of physical activity every day. Fit for Life also includes self-esteem building programs, anti-bullying programs, violence prevention programs, and our food program. Every night after school our members are served USDA approved snacks and dinners. In the summer, they are served breakfast and lunch. Last year, we served over 100,000 snacks and meals and 92% of members had the social/emotional skills necessary for success in school and life.
Graduate programming is conducted daily at all Clubs. Every member participates in at least 45 minutes of academic programming daily. Graduate includes homework help, tutoring, supplemental academic work, STEM activities, art, or any high yield learning activity. It also includes youth workforce development programming like financial literacy and job readiness programming. Last school year, 71% of Club members increased their ability to read and 69% increased their math skills.
Ready to Serve is the character and leadership development portion of our program. Every member is expected to participate in a service learning activity every week. Ready to Serve includes leadership programming developed by BGCA like Keystone and Torch Clubs. Last year, over 1,000 members participated in service and leadership learning totaling over 7,200 hours.
