What it does

The mission of Developing K.I.D.S. is to strengthen urban communities through inter-generational leadership, academic enrichment, and civic engagement.

Summer Youth Program - Our 6-week Summer Youth Program served 174 students in grades K8, providing 204 hours of care focused on recreation, academics, and social-emotional growth. The program included structured daily activities such as reading and math enrichment, arts, team-building exercises, and weekly field trips to promote experiential learning. Participants received nutritious meals including breakfast, lunch, and snacks. The program supported working families and helped prevent summer learning loss while fostering positive peer relationships and personal development. (See Schedule O for the remaining exempt purpose achievements)
